Yeast is often associated with bread and beer making. A Tulane University professor is putting it to use in cancer research.

Charles Miller, an associate professor in the Environmental Health Sciences department of the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, has been given $690,000 from the National Cancer Institute to study the side effects of the many cancer drugs under development.
