Tulane University said it has received notice that attorneys for two women opposed to the merger of Newcomb College and Tulane's six other undergraduate colleges have dismissed their lawsuit against the university.
Parma Howard, of Columbia, S.C., and Jane Matthis Smith, of Greenville, N.C., heirs of Josephine Louise Newcomb, sued Tulane after the colleges were merged in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.See the full content of this document
