More than 70 percent of Southern residents said they would prefer steel-framed homes if they lived in an area prone to hurricanes, according to a study released today.
Residents surveyed were told that scientists at the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Climate Prediction Center predict a 75 percent chance that the 2007 Atlantic hurricane season will be above normal with three to five major hurricanes.See the full content of this document
