Bayou Bend Petroleum Ltd. began drilling June 2 on its first well in the federal waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Project operator Cairn USA started work on the West Cameron Block 332 well using the Pride Georgia rig. BBP holds a 25 percent interest in the project, which comprises 5,000 acres in the Gulf off the coast of Louisiana.
