Southern University Chancellor Victor Ukpolo said today the university will use $1.9 million from a foreign aid donation to expedite a partial return to the main campus flooded with 4 to 11 feet of water from Hurricane Katrina.
Ukpolo, on a recent visit to Washington, D.C., thanked U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings, who gave her support of SUNO's plans for rebuilding the institution's multifunctional gym as quickly as possible.See the full content of this document
