New Orleans Agencies Net $1m to Fight Corruption

Summary


Three New Orleans departments and agencies are slated to receive $1 million in federal funding for anti-corruption efforts in 2004.

Rep. David Vitter, R-Metairie, and Orleans Parish District Attorney Eddie Jordan announced the awards last week. Vitter said he helped secure the funds in the final 2004 spending bill approved in January by President Bush.
