The first in a series of briefings on hurricane preparation for the 2008 Atlantic season will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Sheraton New Orleans hotel, 500 Canal St.
The session will feature presentations on the state of emergency preparation and the status of levees and drainage by officials from the office of the federal coordinator of Gulf Coast recovery, National Weather Service, New Orleans Office of Emergency Preparedness, the New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board, and the Army Corps of Engineers, among others.See the full content of this document
