Honduran Man Pleads Guilty in Bank One Fraud Case in N.O.

Summary


A Honduran man has pleaded guilty to one count of bank fraud, U.S. Attorney Jim Letten said Wednesday.

Pedro Quintana, 57, is accused of scheming to defraud Bank One of approximately $40,426 by depositing false and fraudulent checks into a relative's account in order to create a false balance. As part of the scheme, Quintana asked the relative to open a new checking account in her name at Bank One in New Orleans in February 1998, Letten said.
