A new federal grant will be combined with state resources to help expand the Nims Center Studios for Entertainment Arts in Elmwood.
On Nov. 30, U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke announced a $3 million grant to the University of New Orleans Foundation, the funding arm for the Nims Center. Roger Benischek, Nims Center director, said that money will be combined with a $1.5 million grant from Louisiana Economic Development to build a 10,000-square-foot sound stage and office building.See the full content of this document
