Despite a Hurricane Katrina-related population exodus from southeast Louisiana, there has been a baby boom in the New Orleans area that early signs indicate will continue throughout 2007.
According to Keith Darcey, spokesman for East Jefferson General Hospital, there have been 394 deliveries in the first two months of 2007 compared with 349 in January and February 2006 and 324 in the same two months of 2005.See the full content of this document
