A coalition of environmental groups and community members converged on Shell's New Orleans headquarters Tuesday urging Shell and other oil companies to step up their role in repairing the state's damaged coast.
Organizers lauded the state's recent commitment to spending more than $1 billion in state surplus funds on coastal projects over the next four years. "But even this massive sum of money is only a down payment to fix the problem of coastal land loss," the group said in a statement.See the full content of this document
