An early morning fire destroyed the two-story building that once housed an adult book store north of Louis Armstrong International Airport in Kenner. The fire was reported at 2:59 a.m. and was still being hosed down with water at 10 a.m., according to Kenner Fire Chief John Hellmers.
For several years, the location at 96 W. 27th St. housed an outlet of Mr. Binky's, a retail store specializing in adult books, movies and other items. It had been closed since Hurricane Katrina struck Aug. 29, 2005. Hellmers said the owners were renovating the building, apparently with plans to reopen Mr. Binky's in the near future.See the full content of this document
