Early New Orleans Citybusiness Poll Results Favor State Rep. Carter Over Incumbent Jefferson

With more than 200 votes tallied in the CityBusiness Question of the Week, challenger state Rep. Karen Carter has been favored by a nearly 4-to-1 margin over incumbent Rep. William Jefferson, D-New Orleans, in the Second Congressional District race.

Carter has 172 of the first 218 votes, or 79 percent, compared with Jefferson's 46, or 21 percent.
