After two straight 6 percent month-over-month decreases in winnings, New Orleans' four casinos posted a 13.3 percent increase to $54.5 million in October compared with $48.1 million in September.
But year-to-date winnings at Boomtown, Treasure Chest, Harrah's New Orleans and the Fair Grounds slots facility were still off 3.6 percent compared with $56.5 million through October 2008, according to Louisiana State Police figures.See the full content of this document
