The owner of a consulting engineering firm charged with conspiracy to bribe the former president of St. John the Baptist Parish pleaded guilty today.

Prosecutors said Ray Anthony Davezac, 55, of Destrehan, who owned and operated Davezac Consulting Engineers, paid $5,000 as a bribe -- solicited May 5 by William Hubbard -- in exchange for a parish contract.
