With December two months away, New Orleans businesses are scrambling to plan their holiday parties and booking and crossing off their checklists of available dates, venues, decor and entertainment.

"When you're scheduling these events, it's sometimes like you're doing a Rubik's cube over and over again. But that's not necessarily a bad thing because it means the business is back and companies want to plan holiday parties," said Andrea Thornton, director of sales and marketing at the Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans.
