St. Bernard Parish sheriff's deputies, parish government officials and representatives from Entergy Louisiana and Cox Communications utilities toured the Village Square area of Chalmette May 26 to meet with residents, check for safety hazards and search for theft of electric or cable television service, said St. Bernard Parish Sheriff Jack Stephens.
During the annual tour in the troubled Village Square complex, more than a pound of marijuana with an estimated street value of between $800 and $1,000 was discovered in a cable television hookup box. A stolen vehicle from New Orleans was also recovered.See the full content of this document
