Advance Registration for the 2006 Realtors Conference in New Orleans Outpaces Previous Conventions

Summary

Advance registration for the 2006 Realtors Conference & Expo in New Orleans is outpacing all previous conventions, including last year's record-breaking convention in San Francisco and the 2002 convention, the last time the National Association of Realtors met in the Crescent City.

With more than four months to go before the Nov. 9-13 convention, 8,367 people have already registered, nearly one-third of the total expected to attend. Pre-registration is 16 percent ahead of the record pace a year ago. Some 30,000 are expected to attend the convention, which would make it the largest event to take place in New Orleans this year, and generate some $34 million in revenue.
